Chery Omoda E5

The Omoda E5, positioned as a mainstream EV, is strategically designed to appeal to Gen-Z buyers and a younger demographic. Its distinctive styling choices and advanced features set it apart. As a response to Pakistan’s developing EV infrastructure, Omoda plans to install charging stations in major cities, ensuring a seamless charging experience for its users.

Chery Jaecoo J7 PHEV

In contrast, the Jaecoo J7 PHEV aims at the luxury market, offering a robust off-road SUV experience to high-end buyers. Chery International claims that the J7 PHEV boasts superior styling, larger infotainment screens, enhanced driver-assist features, and improved off-roading capabilities, featuring a locking differential that gives it a competitive edge in the Pakistani market.

Competition and Market Strategy

Both models are poised to enter a competitive market. The Omoda E5 will challenge the MG ZS EV, focusing on providing a similar range and platform. The Jaecoo J7 PHEV, with its luxury offerings, will go head-to-head with vehicles like the Toyota Corolla Cross and Hyundai Santa Fe.

Price

While the exact price of the Omoda E5 Electric Car and Jaecoo J7 PHEV remains undisclosed, Mr. Ryan Wang assures that it will be competitive, taking into account the specificities of the Pakistani market.

Launch Date and Partnerships

Chery International is eager to launch these innovative vehicles in Pakistan as soon as possible, with a potential launch date expected by the second half of 2024. Notably, Omoda and Jaecoo will not be launched in collaboration with Ghandhara Automobiles, the current assembler of Chery vehicles in Pakistan. Mr. Ryan Wang revealed that a different partnership will be established for the introduction of these new models.

With Chery International’s remarkable success and commitment to innovation, the introduction of Omoda and Jaecoo EVs is anticipated to reshape Pakistan’s automotive landscape.
