There have been multiple reports surging online regarding Hyundai Nishat Motors launching their Hyundai Elantra in Pakistan, which will directly compete with Toyota Corolla Altis and Honda Civic as the car is likely to be priced above Rs. 4 million.
It bears mentioning that Hyundai made a comeback to the local automotive sector in collaboration with Nishat Group and the company is already assembling two vehicles in Pakistan, the Hyundai Tucson SUV and the Porter H-100 pick-up trick, which has been a success in the commercial sector.
The launch of Hyundai Elantra in Pakistan will add to the increasing competition for the BIG3 (Toyota, Suzuki and Honda) which have dominated the local automotive industry for years. This vehicle will be one of many new sedan cars recently introduced in Pakistan, including the Toyota Yaris and Changan Alsvin while the Proton Saga is also expected to launch very soon.

The Hyundai Elantra price in Pakistan is expected to be around Rs. 4 million as the vehicle plans to take on the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla Altis.

There are currently no official reports regarding the exact specifications of the vehicle to be introduced locally but it is most likely that the variant of Hyundai Elantra in Pakistan will be powered by a 1.6L engine which produces 122 horsepower (hp) and 156 Newton meters (Nm) of torque, coupled with a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission.
