JW Forland has launched a new 7-seater MPV called Safaari in Pakistan that competes directly with Suzuki APV, a very popular vehicle for large families and rent-a-car services across the country.
Engine and Transmission
The Forland Safaari Deluxe and Premium variants are powered by a 1480cc in-line 4-cylinder engine with a 5-speed manual gearbox that is capable of producing 107 horsepower (hp) and 147 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque, which is only slightly higher than Suzuki’s APV.
Meanwhile, the base variant of the Forland Safaari comes with just a 1300cc engine with the same 5-speed gearbox.
Features
The vehicles comes loaded with basic features like Power Steering, Adjustable Headlights, Dual AC, Central Locking, Dial Visor, Reading Lamp, Front Power Windows, Central Lamp, 7-inch Touch Screen, Speakers, Bluetooth, Front Fog Lamps.
Safety
For safety, the vehicle comes with a reverse camera, ABS brakes, ISOFIX Child Seats, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, DRLs, Door Open Warning, Parking Brake, Driver Seat Belt Warning.
However, the vehicle lacks airbags, which have been pretty standard but missing in Forland Safari MPV in Pakistan.
Meanwhile, the Safaari Comfort lacks most of the features mentioned above.
