Peugeot 2008 to Launch in Pakistan on Friday

Lucky Motors Corporation (LMC) is all set to launch the Peugeot 2008 in Pakistan on Friday (28 January 2008) and the vehicle will be on display in Karachi. The official Price of the Peugeot 2008 in Pakistan will also be revealed tomorrow by the company during the soft launch event.

The first ever locally assembled unit of the Peugeot 2008 in Pakistan rolled off the production line last month, which means that the vehicle being sold in Pakistan will be locally assembled and not a Completely Built Unit (CBU). However, the exact specifications of the Peugeot 2008 launching in Pakistan will be made available by the company tomorrow.

The Peugeot 2008 will be available for booking at the Peugeot Macca Dealership in Karachi from 10:00am to 6:00pm on 28 January 2022.

Engine and Transmission

According to the official website, the Peugeot 2008 being launched in Pakistan will be equipped with a 1.2L MPI Turbo Engine, which is capable of producing 130HP and 230NM of Torque, while mated with a 6-speed auto transmission. However, the company is expected to introduce a manual variant of the vehicle but nothing is confirmed at this point.

The vehicle is launching in two variants, the Active and Allure, which has been confirmed by the company. The Price of the Peugeot 2008 Active in Pakistan is Rs. 5,250,000, which is the base variant, while the Price of Peugeot 2008 Allure in Pakistan is Rs. 5,850,000.

Competition

The Peugeot 2008 will have a lot of competition in Pakistan, including the KIA Stonic, MG ZS, Proton X50 and the Glory 500 in the subcompact crossover SUV segment.
