In an unexpected move, the locally assembled Seres 3 EV has gotten a price cut in Pakistan shortly after the vehicle’s official launch a few weeks ago.
In a notification, the company stated, “Due to increase of the Pak rupee against the US dollar and adjustment in duty levies for EV in Pakistan, the price of the vehicle is reduced,”
New Seres 3 EV Price in Pakistan
The new price of the Seres 3 EV in Pakistan is Rs. 8,390,000 (Effective December 20th, 2023), which is 809,000 cheaper compared to the old price of Rs. 9,199,000. Furthermore, the new booking price of the vehicle is Rs. 250,000, which is 50,000 less than the previous price of Rs. 300,000.
It is pertinent to mention that car’s deliveries will commence in April 2024.
Performance
The Seres 3 EV is powered by a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor that is capable of producing 160 horsepower (hp) and 300 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque. Furthermore, the EV is equipped with a 49kWh battery that gives a mileage of around 400 KM (company-claimed), which is very reasonable.
The company also claims that you can charge the electric vehicle at home using a regular charger in 7-8 hours for 80% battery, while fast-charging can help reduce the charging time to just 2-3 hours.
