The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced a bank holiday for Eid ul Adha from June 17th to June 19th, 2024, which means all commercial banks will remain closed on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday.
However, all commercial banks will also remain closed on the weekend (Saturday and Sunday), making it a five-day bank holiday in Pakistan.
It is pertinent to mention that selected bank branches that operate on Saturday will remain open.
The Government has already announced a three-day holiday for Eid ul Adha from 17th June to 19th June (Monday to Wednesday), however, if you combine the weekend, people will get a total of 5 days off to celebrate the Islamic festival.
Similarly, Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) will also remain closed over the weekend and Eid Holidays.
