The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced a bank holiday on 9 November 2023 on the occasion of Allama Iqbal Day.

In a circular, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) wrote, “The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed on Thursday, November 09, 2023 being public holiday on the occasion of Allama Iqbal Day, as declared by the Government of Pakistan.”

Therefore, all commercial banks will also observe the public holiday on November 9 (Thursday) and remain closed before re-opening on Friday (November 10).

Earlier, the Federal Government issued a notification announcing public holiday on November 9 on the occasion of Iqbal Day across the country.
