The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced a bank holiday on February 8, 2024 (Thursday), which means all banks will remain closed on account of the General Elections
In a notification, the SBP stated, “The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed on February 8, 2024 (Thursday) being a public holiday in the country as notified by the Election Commission of Pakistan to enable the voters to exercise their right of franchise freely and conveniently in General Election, 2024.”
Therefore, all banks will remain closed on Thursday (February 8, 2024).
The Election Commission of Pakistan has declared a public holiday on February 8, 2024, and a notification has been issued in this regard as well.
