Google Glitch Shows USD to PKR Rate at Rs. 176.25

A glitch in Google search has started showing the rate of Pakistani Rupee against US Dollar (USD to PKR) as Rs. 176.25 on 7 September 2022, which has caused a lot confusion among netizens. However, the local currency has not recovered and it is only a glitch at Google’s end showing an incorrect exchange rate.
UPDATE: The glitch has been fixed and Google is now showing the correct exchange rate.

It is pertinent to mention that Pakistan Rupee (PKR) settled at Rs. 223.42 against the US Dollar (USD) at the closing of the interbank market on 7 September 2022 (Wednesday) as per the data provided by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) at the end of the working day.

The Pakistani Rupee has depreciated by Rs. 4.82 against the US Dollar since the start of the September as it reached Rs. Rs. 223.42 on 7 September 2022 compared to Rs. 218.60 on 1 September 2022.

However, the people were left wondering about the rate of Pakistani Rupee against US Dollar (USD to PKR) due to a glitch at Google that showed the current rate at Rs. 207.10 on 7 September 2022.

It is pertinent to mention that it is the second time such a glitch at Google search has shown the wrong USD to PKR exchange rate in recent months. On 28 July 2022, Google showed the exchange rate between the local currency and the greenback as Rs. 207.10 even though the currency closed at an all time low of Rs. 239.94 on the given date.
