The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced a bank holiday on 1 May 2023 (Monday) on account of Labour Day.

According to the details, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and all commercial banks will remain closed on 1 May 2023 (Monday) for Labour Day.

“The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed on May 1, 2023 (Monday) on the occasion of “Labour Day” as declared by the Government of Pakistan.” said the central bank in a notification.

Furthermore, all development finance institutions (DFIs) microfinance banks (MFBs) will also remain closed during the bank holiday.
