Google’s country partner, Tech Valley Pakistan, has announced 1,000 scholarships worth $500,000 for youth in Balochistan.
The announcement comes after Google officials, representatives of the Department of Education, and the Department of Labor and Manpower signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) for the distribution of Google Career Certificate.
It is pertinent to mention that it is Tech Valley Pakistan’s first collaboration with Balochistan Government that includes partnerships with several departments in the province.
Apart from 1,000 scholarships, Google will provide professional training to youth in the fields of project management, digital marketing, IT support, advance business intelligence, cyber security, and design.
Tech Valley Pakistan will work closely with all departments of the provincial government to provide access to high-quality digital education and skills development program.
It bears mentioning that Google Career Certificates are a flexible, self-paced online training program that can prepare learners for careers in various high-growth fields. The program includes specialized training, assessments mentorship sessions and hands-on practical experience.
