Islamabad School Timings Revised to Due Rising Temperature

The Federal Ministry of Education has revised the timings for all public and private schools in Islamabad due to rising temperatures.

According to the details, the schools will now commence classes at 7:30 am and conclude at 11:30 am, while sports and outside assemblies will not be conducted due to the intense heat.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the heatwave-like conditions are likely to subside as dust and thunderstorms with isolated rain are expected across the country from May 28th.

It is pertinent to mention that Punjab had also announced early summer vacations due to the intense heat with schools closing on May 25.

The holidays will conclude on May 14 and students will get back to school on August 15 after a long summer break.

Meanwhile, the Sindh Government decided against early summer vacations and the break is scheduled to commence from June 1 as planned.
