The Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board has announced a ban on a book for O-Level titled “History and Culture of Pakistan.” Furthermore, an official notification has been issued by the department to enforce the ban across the province.
According to an official, the ban of the O Level’s book was imposed in May last year, and the latest notification has been issued to reinforce its implementation. However, the concerned authorities have not explained any reason behind the ban.
The book, History and Culture of Pakistan, which is authored by Nigel Kelly, had been part of the O Level curriculum for some time before it was banned across the province last year. Meanwhile, the book continues to be used in other provinces across Pakistan.
