Punjab Students Promoted Without Annual Exams

LAHORE: Punjab students have been promoted to higher classes without annual examinations in wake of the coronavirus pandemic according to a notification issued by the School Education Department of Punjab.

The notification was shared by Punjab Education Minister Murad Raas on Twitter and states that the decision has been taken due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Although only Punjab students of up to class 8 have been promoted to higher levels and this decision includes both public and private schools as stated in the notification.

In other related news, earlier Punjab Government announcement that 20 percent concession in tuition fee will continue until schools reopen and also issued a notification in this regard saying serious action will be taken against schools who do not comply.
