The Punjab Government has announced Winter Vacations for all public and private schools in the province from 23 December 2021 to 6 January 2022.
The announcement was made by Punjab Education Minister Murad Raas on Twitter. “All Public and Private Schools of Punjab will remain closed for winter vacations starting December 23rd, 2021 to January 6th, 2022.” said the Education Minister in his tweet.

The Education Minister also advised the public to get vaccinated against the novel coronavirus and follow the government mandated SOPs, especially since the Omicron variant has emerged in Pakistan.
It is pertinent to mention that the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) had also decided to announce winter vacations in the country from 3 January 2022. This date was finalized during a meeting of the forum, which was chaired by NCOC head Asad Umar and attended by the Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mehmood.

However, the Punjab Government has announced its own dates for winter vacations in Punjab starting from 23 December 2021 to 6 January 2022.
