School hours in KP cut short amid rising coronavirus cases

PESHAWAR: The school hours in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) have been reduced by the provincial government amid rising number of coronavirus cases being reported in the province and across the country.

Apart from reducing school hours, the KP govt has also ordered that morning assemblies are to be suspended in all educational institutions as a precautionary measure.

According to the new school hours in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), secondary higher classes will be carried out from 8:10 am to 1:30 pm while primary classes will start at 8:30 am and continue till 12:30 pm.

Furthermore, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government has also banned involvement of student in protocols of VIPs coming to educational institutions and the school administrations have been directed accordingly.

Since reopening of educational institutions starting September 15th, there have been 225 coronavirus cases reported in KP schools.
