The Sindh Government has announced a holiday for all public and private schools, colleges and universities on 1 March 2022 on account of Shab-e-Meraj.
“Sindh announces closure of schools, colleges on March 1 All educational institutions in the province will be closed on Tuesday to observe Shab-e-Meraj.” said the Sindh School Education and Literacy Department (SELD) while announcing the holiday on Twitter.

However, the front desk offices of educational institutions will remain open in order to facilitate the parents and students regardless of the holiday announced by the Sindh Education and Literacy Department.
According to Sindh Education Secretary Ghulam Akbar Leghari, the approval of annual public holidays set by the education department was given at a recent meeting of the Steering Committee, and all schools, colleges and universities in Sindh will observe a holiday on 1st March 2022 (27th of Rajab).
It bears mentioning that Sindh has also announced summer holidays for schools from 1st July 2022 to 31st July 2022 with the next academic session to commence from 1st August 2022.
