Sindh University Bans Students From Making TikTok Videos

Sindh University Jamshoro has placed a ban on students making TikTok videos on the campus premises. The decision was taken after some TikTok videos made at Sindh University, which were deemed unethical and immoral by the administration, went viral on the social media platform.

In a circular issued by the Director Student Affairs, Dr Muhammad Younis Laghuri on Wednesday, Sindh University has imposed a ban on using TikTok on campus citing character building and national development of the students. “All the students are informed that recording TikTok on the campus, especially showing unethical behavior/contents are completely banned in the premises of Sindh University campus.” read the circular.

The varsity has warned of strict punishment for future violators if any complaint is received regarding the matter or any videos of such type emerge on social media. ““If any students observe such type of activity then immediately call the Sindh University Security or following office,” the circular maintained.
