Major (r) Adil Raja on Friday apologized to actress Kubra Khan after spewing allegations that some military generals “used” top Pakistani actresses as bait to film various politicians from different political parties for the purpose of blackmail.
The apology comes after one of the actress Kubra Khan filed a petition against Adil Raja over the defamatory comments made by him against her and three others, including Mahira Khan, Sajal Aly, and Mehwish Hayat.
It is pertinent to mention that three of the actresses accused of being “used” by military generals lashed out against these comments on their social media handle and even threatened of legal action against Raja.
In a response to Kubra Khan’s tweet, Major (r) Adil Raja apologized for causing distress to the actress. “My intention was never to target any women but to pinpoint a bigger problem pertinent in the system.” he wrote on Twitter. “I am profoundly sorry for the distress caused by speculations arising due to me giving initials, which didn’t include yours.” he added.

I again appeal to avoid speculations without proof.
Furthermore, the Sindh High Court (SHC) has directed Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to take immediate action against Raja under the PECA law as well as take down any offensive materials against the four actresses.
It bears mentioning that Major (r) Adil Raja had referred to the four actresses via their initials, which include KK, SA, MK, and MH. However, netizens were quick to decipher these initials and came to the conclusion that actresses being mentioned were Kubra Khan, Sajal Aly, Mahira Khan, and Mehwish Hayat.
