Saba Qamar and Bilal Saeed granted bail by court

The immensely popular actress and singer duo, Saba Qamar and Bilal Saeed had been in hot water for a long time now, owing to their controversial mosque shoot, for the soundtrack Qubool which premiered last month.

Alongside some of the crew members, Saba Qamar and Bilal Saeed, the leading characters of the melody had also been part of police investigations. However, according to the recent turn of event, the two had been granted interim bail by the Lahore High Court (LHC)

Previously, Saba and Bilal had been booked in a case at Akbari Gate police station, under section 295, which refer to “offenses relating to the religion.” Nevertheless, recent report says the Court has approved their bail application over the mosque-filming scenario.

“The court confirms interim bail of both the accused.” – Additional Sessions Judge Chaudhry Qasim Ali announced while issuing his verdict on the bail application.

The ravishing actress Saba Qamar and the eminent singer Bilal Saeed became target of public disparagement soon after they announced their now-released song Qubool on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha. While some fans were busy praising the flawless on-screen couple and sending wishes their way, there were some to notice a loophole, in apparently perfect pictures. The cheekh actress and the Baari singer had posted the pictures, taken at the historical Wazir Khan mosque of Lahore. Moreover, the matter ignited when Saba Qamar posted a video, in which she was spinning in her bridal attire that too filmed at the sacred ground of mosque.

The footage immediately started making rounds on internet, with former-admiring fans passing hateful comments towards the couple. It was not long when higher authorities dived into the matter, registering FIR against the two.

Here to mention, Saba and Bilal had publicly apologized for their actions. Additionally, the song came out soon after and no mosque-filmed scenes were included in it, as promised by the singer.

Also, it was mentioned by the actress, that the Qubool was given permission by auqaaf depart of Wazir Khan Mosque over the payment of 30,000. Hence, the auqaaf was also under police inquiry over the matter.
