Public Alert Issued Over SMS Scams Posing as Delivery Services: TCS

A public warning has been issued by TCS courier service, regarding a recent surge in fraudulent activities where scammers are posing as delivery service providers and sending fake SMS messages.

These messages often contain malicious links designed to steal personal and financial information, leading to unauthorized transactions.

The alert emphasizes that individuals should never share their personal or financial details through email, WhatsApp, SMS, or phone calls. The prominent courier service, TCS, has clarified that it only sends SMS from its official number, 8225, and never requests payments via SMS.

Citizens are urged to report any suspicious or fraudulent activities immediately to TCS customer support at 021-111-123-456 or 021-36172600.

The authorities are advising the public to stay vigilant and protect their sensitive information to avoid falling victim to these scams.

Farhan Abro

Hello! My name is Farhan Abro, and I'm based here in Islamabad. My journey in Pakistan's digital media really kicked off when I founded INCPak back in 2012. We built it from the ground up, driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, to be a trusted voice for independent journalism. But while media is a big part of who I am, I'm also shaped by a fascinating mix of other passions. I'm deeply into automotive, which gives me a technical edge, but I also find my artistic expression through landscape photography and music. And I'm always diving into the exciting world of Artificial Intelligence. Bringing all these different worlds together the technical, the creative, the journalistic, and the entrepreneurial—it really colors how I see things and approach every project. It gives me a distinct perspective that I try to bring to everything I share
