1800 Rioters arrested: Interior Ministry

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Interior updates around 1800 rioters have been arrested across Pakistan, by law enforcemenet agencies for being allegedly involved in Vandalism and harassement of citizens during protests led by Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP). 

The Interior Ministry provided the number of arrestees who have been booked under revlevant sections of the Anti-Terriorsm Act (ATA).

The rioters reportedly set ablaze vehicles and propertise in addition to torture fellow countrymen. 

Islamabad, 56 arrested and 26 have been remanded. The order to imprison 19 rioters under the maintance of public order (MPO) has been issued. 

Karachi, number of cases have been registered in various police stations. 

Lahore, 8 suspects have been sent on 14-days physical remand. 

TLP Dharna ended after a deal with the Government on 2nd November 2018.
