Asad Umar is not going anywhere

ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Asad Umar denies rumors about his removal from Finance Ministry Portfolio.

Talking to Media on Wednesday Asad Umar said  “being the finance minister, I am still chairing a session and have no information regarding the news of my expected removal from the post.” – Asad Umar

Earlier I had a meeting with Shamshad Akhtar, However, there was no mention of replacing Finance Ministry portfolio. – He added.

Although, these were not just the rumors as Jahangir Tareen and Asad Umar are not settling together, speculations are not baseless.

The rift between Asad Umar and Jahangir Tareen has become ‘The talk of the town’ on mainstream media.

According to sources, Asad Umar will continue as Finance Minister meanwhile, Mr.Tareen’s influence over the Party and on the senior leadership is unhappy with it. 

So far Prime Minister Imran Khan seems quite happy with Asad Umar’s performance. However, There’s always chance to remove entire Finance squad.
