How Atletico de Madrid Began

Athletic Club De Madrid started on 26^th April 1903 by a group of students. Their goal was to establish an institution that would compete with noblest and immaculate talent. Don Enrique Allende was the first president.

The first match was played between the club members behind the walls of Buen Retiro Park on 2^nd May 1903.
