In a broadcast message today, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that August 9 will be celebrated as Tiger Force Day.

He announced that there will be a massive plantation drive to combat the effects of climate change and he will personally become part of the drive telling the Tiger Force:

We will have to plant 10 billion trees until 2023,

Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the Tiger Force will set a record planning the number of trees to combat climate change that is causing the health of the general population to deteriorate.

The premier also urged the public to participate in the plantation drive on Tiger Force Day (9 August).

Urging people to follow SOPs on Eid ul Azha

Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday also urged people to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) on the occasion of Eid ul Azha wanring of a possible surge in cases due to carelessness.

The coronavirus situation has significantly improved across the country and PM Khan warned that public gatherings on Eid ul Azha might lead to a second wave of coronavirus infections.
