The Secretary of Colleges and Higher Education in Balochistan has announced the summer vacation schedule for colleges and universities across the province.
According to a notification issued on Thursday, all higher education institutions in Balochistan will be closed from June 1, 2024, until August 13, 2024.
This announcement follows the earlier declaration of summer vacations for schools in the province. In the heat-prone areas of Balochistan, the summer holidays started on May 15 and will end on July 31.
For the colder regions, a shorter vacation period from July 22 to July 31 has been set.
In a related development, the Sindh government has also declared summer vacations starting from June 1. Initially, Sindh authorities had decided against an early summer break despite the heatwave affecting the province.
