CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif Addresses Smog Crisis in Punjab

Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced that the provincial government is taking all necessary precautionary measures to tackle the smog issue in Punjab, particularly in Lahore. However, she emphasized that it will take a few years to see significant improvements, as the problem cannot be resolved overnight.

In her statement, CM Maryam Nawaz highlighted the role of old vehicles in polluting the air quality and expressed her concern over the record levels of smog this year. She acknowledged that the issue had been ignored by previous administrations, but assured the public that her government is committed to improving air quality in Punjab and Lahore over the coming years.

The Chief Minister outlined a comprehensive plan to address the smog crisis, which includes phasing out old vehicles, implementing stricter emissions regulations, and promoting the use of cleaner energy sources. She also called for public cooperation in reducing pollution by adopting eco-friendly practices.

Maryam Nawaz reiterated her commitment to making Punjab a cleaner and healthier place to live, stating that while the journey to improved air quality will be challenging, the government is dedicated to achieving this goal for the well-being of its citizens.
