Coronavirus cases in Pakistan – Update [10 June 2020]

UPDATED: The total number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan have surged to 119,219 while the country’s death toll has reached 2,351. There were 5,727 more cases reported on Wednesday (10 June 2020) along with a total of 101 more fatalities from across the country. This is the highest reported death toll in a single day.

Sindh reported 42 more fatalities according to the coronavirus update by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah. This brings the provincial death toll to 738 while total cases in Sindh have reached 43,790.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department reported 09 more fatalities bringing the provincial death toll to 619 while total cases in the province have reached 15,206.

Balochistan reported 11 more fatalities bringing the confirmed provincial death toll to 73 while the probable death toll has remains at 57. The number of cases in the province have reached 7,335 according to the Daily Situation Report issued by the Balochistan Health Department.

Islamabad reported five new fatalities reported according to the District Health Office Islamabad. The death toll of the capital city reaches at 57 while number of cases have reached 5,963. The following is the distribution of cases across the city.

Gilgit Baltistan did not report any more fatalities according to the Daily Situation Report issued by the GB Health Department. This keeps the regional death toll at 14 while number of cases have reached 1018.

No more fatalities were reported from Azad Jammu and Kashmir keeping the death toll at nice while number of coronavirus cases have reached 444 according to the Government of Pakistan’s COVID-19 Dashboard.

No report with latest figures was issued by Punjab for 10 June 2020. We will update the post as soon as these figures are available.

Punjab reported 34 more fatalities bringing provincial death toll to 841. This is according to the report issued by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA). Total number of coronavirus cases have reached 45,463.
