Coronavirus cases in Pakistan – Update [20 June 2020]

The total number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan have surged to 176,224 while the country’s death toll has reached 3,496‬. There were 4,930 more cases reported on Saturday (20 June 2020) along with a total of 116 more fatalities from across the country.

Sindh reported 35 more fatalities according to the coronavirus update by the Provincial Health and Population Welfare Department. This brings the provincial death toll to 1,048 while total cases in Sindh have reached 67,353.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department reported 19 more fatalities bringing the provincial death toll to 808 while total cases in the province have reached 21,444 according to their daily COVID-19 update.

Balochistan reported no new fatalities keeping the confirmed provincial death toll at 100 while the probable death toll has reached at 71. The number of cases in the province have reached 9,328 according to the Daily Situation Report issued by the Balochistan Health Department.

Islamabad reported no new fatalities according to the District Health Office Islamabad. The death toll of the capital city remains at 95 while number of cases have reached 10,279. The following is the distribution of cases across Islamabad.

Gilgit Baltistan reported no new fatalities according to the Daily Situation Reported issued by the GB Health Department. This keeps the regional death toll at 21. Furthermore, the total positive cases in the region have reached 1,278.

Two new fatalities were reported from Azad Jammu and Kashmir bringing the death toll to 17 while number of coronavirus cases have reached 803 according to the Government of Pakistan’s COVID-19 Dashboard.

NOTE: There are no new coronavirus reports from Punjab for 20 June 2020. We will update the post with latest figures as soon as they become available.

Punjab reported 60 more fatalities according to the coronavirus update by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA). This brings the provincial death toll to 1,407 while the number of cases reach 65,739.
