In a tragic incident, a couple was shot in Islamabad’s Sector I-11 over a personal enmity and a video of their 2-year-old child standing by their bodies has gone viral on social media, which has led to mass outrage.
According to the details, a group of armed assailants opened fire at the couple, identified as Rehana Sardar and Zafar Iqbal, and their 2-year-old child over some personal enmity. As a result, the couple died on the spot, while their child remained unharmed.
The Sabzi Mandi Police, which has jurisdiction over the area reached the scene soon after the incident and began investigation to the tragic incident. According to the police, the couple was killed by their own relatives over some personal dispute.
The police says that the accused have been identified and raids are being conducted to arrest them. Meanwhile, the two-year-old child has been taken away by some other relatives of the victims.
