Earthquake felt in Karachi: Met Department

Earthquake tremors were felt in the port city Karachi on Wednesday according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department.

According to the Director of the Pakistan Meteorological Department Dr Abdul Qayoom Bhutto, earthquake tremors were felt in Karachi at 5:16 pm today (Wednesday).

The Met Department official also stated that the intensity of the earthquake was recorded at 3.0 on the Richter scale.

The epicenter of the earthquake was reported to be 40 kilometres north of the port city while the depth was recorded at 10 kilometres.

There have been no damages or loss of life reported due to the low intensity of earthquake.
