ECP withholds notification of Imran Khan’s success from NA-53 and NA-131

ISLAMABAD – Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday has halted victory notification of Imran Khan (PTI Chief) from constituencies NA-53, Islamabad and NA-131, Lahore respectively.

As per details garnered, the electoral body has issued conditional victory notification from three constituencies. The victory notification from NA-35 Bannu, NA-95 Mianwali and NA-243 Karachi constituencies is withheld with case pertaining to violation of electoral code of conduct.

Announcing reserved verdict on PML-N leader’s plea, LHC ordered to recount votes in NA-131 Lahore constituency where Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan defeated Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Saad Rafique on July 25 general election.
