The Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program has so far provided assistance to over 14.43 million deserving people across the country with more than Rs. 174.57 billion disbursed according to the Special Adviser to Prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation and Social Security (SAPM) Dr Sania Nishtar.
The Ehsaas Emergency Cash Programme was launched back in April 2020 with the aim of helping the poor segment and deserving people who had lost their jobs or suffering financially due to the lockdown that was implemented to control the spread of the coronavirus outbreak.
Since than, the Government of Pakistan has helped millions with financial aid through this Ehsaas program and has further expanded the initiative to help even more people especially the working class and daily wagers.
