The Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program has so far disbursed Rs. 153.551 billion to more than 12.68 million eligible beneficiaries according to Special Adviser to Prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation and Social Security (SAPM) Dr Sania Nishtar.
The Ihsaas Emergency Cash Program was launched back in April 2020 to help the poor segment and deserving people affected by the coronavirus pandemic and the resulting lockdown in the country.
Since than, the Government has reached its original disbursement goal and further expanded the program to help more people especially the working class and daily wagers.
