Sindh Information Minister, Sharjeel Inam Memon, has announced new routes of the Electric Bus Service in Karachi under the Peoples Bus Service.
Addressing a press conference, the Sindh Information Minister, Sharjeel Inam Memon announced that more environmental-friendly electric (EV) buses have arrived in Karachi.
He added that PPP-led Sindh Government was ready to launch two new routes for the Electric Bus Service under the Peoples Bus Service.
The second route of the Electric Bus Service in Karachi will operate from Al-Asif Market to Tanki Chowk (Malir), while the third route will start from Bahria Town to Numaish Chowrangi via Tank Chowk.
The new routes will be made operational by April 13.
It is pertinent to mention that first route of the Electric Bus Service in Karachi already operates between Karachi Airport and Sea View from Tank Chowk, Malir Cantt to Clock Tower Roundabout, Sea View Defence using Khayaban-e-Ittehad.
Furthermore, the Government of Sindh is also mulling to increase the fares for the Karachi Electric Bus Service after launch of the two new routes in the metropolis.
