Chaudhry Adnan, a former member of the Punjab Assembly, who ran as an independent candidate from PP-19 Rawalpindi in the general election, has tragically lost his life in a fatal attack.
The incident occurred near Kachehri Chowk, where unidentified assailants opened fire on Chaudhry Adnan. Despite being rushed to the hospital in critical condition, he succumbed to his injuries.
It is worth noting that Chaudhry Adnan had previously contested the election as an independent candidate for the National Assembly constituency NA-57.
According to the police, the incident seems to be a sign of personal enmity.
“Investigations are underway from all angles,” the police stated, adding that culprits behind the crime would be arrested and presented before the court.
