Govt Announces Public Holiday on September 29 for Eid Milad-un-Nabi

The caretaker government has announced a public holiday on 29 September 2023 (Friday) on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (12th Rabi-ul-Awwal 1445 A.H.).

“It is for general information that Prime Minister is pleased to declare 29th September, 2023 (Friday) as public holiday on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (12th Rabi-ul-Awwal 1445 A.H.).” said the notification issued by the cabinet division.

NOTIFICATION

The decision to announce the public holiday on September 29 was taken in accordance with the announcement made by the Central Sighting of the Crescent Committee, which confirmed the start of the blessed month of Rabi-ul-Awwal on Monday (September 18).

The public holiday for Eid Milad-un-Nabi makes for a long video as it falls on a Friday and most government and private institutions will remain closed on Saturday and Sunday, which also includes schools and colleges.
