The Government has extended the deadline for the submission of applications under the Hajj Sponsorship Scheme till next Friday (7 April 2023), while application deadline for regular Hajj is now April 2 (Sunday).
According to the details, the decision to extend the date for application submission for the Hajj Sponsorship Scheme was taken due to difficulties faced by overseas Pakistanis in transferring their funds.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has stated that overseas Pakistanis have to send their amount to the USD account of the Ministry through telegraphic transfer (TT) or wire transfer.
Meanwhile, a relative of the applicant must remain in contact with the concerned bank for verification and processing of the remitted amount.
Furthermore, the banks will remain open on Saturday and Sundays to collect applications.
