Hamza Shafqaat Removed as DC Islamabad

The Federal Government on Saturday and removed Muhammad Hamza Shafqaat as the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad, while transferring him to the Establishment Division with immediate effect and until further orders.

“Mr. Hamza Shafqaat, a BS-19 officer of Pakistan Administrative Service, presently posted as Deputy Commissioner, Islamabad Capital Territory, Islamabad, under Interior Division, is transferred and directed to report to Establishment Division, with immediate effect and until further orders,” read the notification.

Taking to Twitter, Hamza Shafqaat also informed of the development. “Transfer orders issues for Establishment Division.” said the Former DC Islamabad. “It was an honor working for Islamabad.” he added. It is pertinent to mention that Hamza Shafqaat acted as the DC Islamabad since his appointment in June 2018.

Meanwhile, Irfan Nawaz, a BS-19 officer of Pakistan Administrative Service, has replaced Muhammad Hamza Shafqaat as the new DC Islamabad.
