Police on Wednesday said they have arrested a suspect they believed to have been involved in the rape and murder of an eight year old girl in Hangu District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to a Geo News report, the suspect identified as Ilyas, a cousin of the Madiha, the victim of this heinous crime.
According to police, a pistol was also recovered from the suspect and he also admitted to the crime.
The police had earlier arrested mor than 16 suspects in the case for interrogation and Inspector General of KP Police Sanaullah Abbasi assured the parents that the suspect would be apprehended.
Eight year old Madiha was found raped and brutally murdered on Sunday in Sarokhel village in Hangu District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
