HID lights are banned in Islamabad: Section 144 imposed

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Hamza Shafqaat imposes section 144 ban on the Installation, sales and purchase of High Intensity Discharge (HID) lights in vehicles, The notification issued on Thursday.

Section 144 has been imposed on sale, purchase, and installation of HID’s in vehicles.

According to the order notification, HID lights causes trouble for the traffic coming from the opposite direction and are the reason for many fatel accidents.

Moreover, the notification also states that the cheap quality is often responsible for a short circuit which causes a fire in the vehicle.

Yesterday, Islamabad Traffic Police introduced new traffic regulation in which Smoking while driving banned in Islamabad, The awareness campaign will continue on till the end of this month after which drivers will be fined.
