The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has announced the summer vacation schedule for all schools and colleges.
According to the notification, the summer vacation in Islamabad will start from 10 June 2023 and conclude on 31 July 2023 with normal classes resuming from 1 August 2023.
Furthermore, the notification states that summer vacations shall be utilized to manage the following activities in the educational institution:
- Physical verification of stock / stock checking.
- Repair and maintenance of furniture / building / playgrounds.
- In house CPD in the last week of July.
In order to complete the tasks, the Heads of Institutions will engage necessary staff number to manage all these activities when and where required. Meanwhile, it is mandatory for all teaching staff in Islamabad to attend the training sessions planned during summer vacation.
The schedule for the training sessions will be shared soon.
It is pertinent to mention that Punjab Government has also announced summer vacation in the province from 6 June 2023.
