Islamabad Bans Pillion Riding Till 10th Muharram

The District Administration of Islamabad has banned pillion riding from July 21 to 30, 2023) for maintaining law and order situation during Muharram processions.

According to the details, the Islamabad District Administration has imposed the ban on pillion riding during the month of Muharram in order to maintain law and order situation of the capital.

The notification said that “pillion riders may resort to violence and acts of sabotage aimed at disrupting the peace and tranquility causing damage to public life and property during Muharram-ul-Haram 2023.”

Furthermore, strict action will be taken under Section 144 against all violators.
