ISLAMABAD: The Lockdown at Sector G-9/2, G-9/3 (Peshawar Mor Market) and Karachi Company (G9 Markaz) has been exptended for another three days according to the Deputy Commissioner Islamabad.
The Deputy Commissioner Islamabad took to Twitter to announce the decision and requesting everyone to cooperate while the situation is being evaluated. The tweet by DC Islamabad states:
Lock down of Sector G-9/2, G-9/3 and Karachi Company is extended for another 3 days. Cases are being evaluated on daily basis. Surveillance teams have collected over 600 samples from suspected individuals since the lock down. My request is to please cooperate.
Islamabad Authorities placed lockdown at Peshawar Mor and Karachi Company almost a week ago after almost 200 cases emerged from the areas. The decision was taken to curb further spread of the virus.
