Islamabad Announces Local Holiday on Monday – 30 January 2023

Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) has announced a local holiday for public within the city’s jurisdiction on account of the visit by United Arab Emirates (UAE) President, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

In a notification, the District Magistrate Office in Islamabad stated, “It is notified that 30 January 2023 (Monday) is declared as Local Holiday within the revenue limits of Islamabad Capital Territory except the offices of essential services in Islamabad including MCI, CDA, ICT Administration, ICT Police, IESCO, SNGPL, and Hospitals.”

In other news, there is a severe petrol shortage being reported throughout Pakistan as people are unable to find fuel for their vehicles, while petrol pumps / stations that are open are rationing fuel for vehicles.
