Islamabad Starts Crack Down on Smoke Emitting Vehicles

The Islamabad Capital Police has started a crack down on smoke emitting vehicles and pressure horns for environmental protection.

According to the details, the step has been taken on the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Dr Akbar Nasir Khan.

In this regard, all Zonal DSPs have been issued directives to take stern action against smoke emitting vehicles and pressure horns.

A special squad has also been constituted as per the directions of the IGP Islamabad in order to crack down on vehicles emitting smoke and using pressure horns.

This squad will patrol various areas and boulevards, regularly checking and issuing heavy fines to vehicles involved in noise and air pollution.
