360 Indian prisoners to be released this month: FO

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan will release 360 Indian prisoners in four batches starting from April 9. The Foreign Office told media.

Now, “Pakistan has decided that 360 Indian prisoners – having breakup of 355 fishermen and five civilians, who have completed their term of sentence, will be released,” Mohammad Faisal, spokesman for the Pakistan Foreign Office, told reporters.

According to Foreign office, Prisoners would be released in four batches starting from April 8, 2019.

There are 537 Indian prisoners are in Pakistani Jails out of which 483 are fishermen.

“We hope that India will reciprocate this,” the foreign office spokesman said.
