Denmark launches programme for good governance in Pakistan

Denmark has launched a three-year programme for democratic development and good governance in Pakistan.

The programme was announced at a presentation on state of democracy in South Asia in Islamabad.

Speaking on the occasion‚ Danish Ambassador said the programnme envisages the engagement of youth in democratic process and dialogue.

Under this programme‚ young people from across the country would be trained in the values of democracy‚ he said.

The Ambassador said Denmark is also providing support for primary education in the conflict-affected areas of Pakistan.
