Government to construct 5‚00‚000 low cost houses for homeless

The federal government will construct five hundred thousand low cost houses for shelterless and homeless people during the next four years.

According to official sources‚ Ministry of Housing and Works is busy in planning of low cost housing projects under the vision of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif to provide home to each shelterless.

Under this scheme‚ three to five marla houses will be constructed throughout the country which will be provided to the people belonging to low income groups on subsidized rates.

After the approval from the prime minister‚ it is expected that the scheme will be launched during the next three to four months which will also go a long way in creating job opportunities.

According to the Ministry‚ it is already working on eleven housing projects for government employees in various parts of the country.
