ISPR denies allegations that it is backing PTI or PAT

RAWALPINDI: The Inter Services Public Relations ( ISPR ) wing of the Pakistan Army has categorically rejected the assertions that the Army and ISI were backing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) or Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) in anyway in the current political standoff.

A statement released by the ISPR rejected the assertions being made and added that the “Army is an apolitical institution” that has “expressed its unequivocal support for democracy” on numerous occasions.

The press reslease concludes, that “it is unfortunate that [the] Army is dragged into such controversies.”

The Former PTI’s President’s Javed Hashmi’s  statement in which drawn the attention that  Pakistan Army / ISI is involved with Pakistan Taheek e Insaf and Pakistan Awami Tehreek in this entire movement. ISPR clearified and rejected assertion from any political activity .
